1. Analyze current and future anticipated operational procedures and transactional data to identify and pre-define potential projects for sponsorship submission.
2. Work with project sponsors to define scope and charter for proposed projects so that Voice of current as well as future customer’s are captured and translated into project deliverables. Maintain good documentation and communication to ensure adequate project evaluation can be done and the champions can set priorities.
3. Ensure adequate time-lines of deliverables are determined and managed. Identify and remove bottlenecks and barriers to project progress. Take responsibility for achieving financial and time-line targets.
4. Support the learning and development program for greenbelts and others on the project team to institutionalize Six Sigma.
5. Define, lead and facilitate operational Six-sigma projects in support of 3rd Pillar Siloxane JV project to ensure timely start-up and reliable future operation. Focusing on overall operational aspects of the future integrated site inclusive of safety, security, logistics, day-to-day operational effectiveness as well as IP protection.
6. Building on current operational set-ups elsewhere but modifying these to anticipate China’s and the new site’s special needs. Incumbent would need to interact with operational teams globally as well as the 3rd Pillar design team. The incumbent shall stimulate management by exploring new ways of doing things and challenging the existing paradigms. It’s also the incumbent’s role to actively share “ best practices “ and learning to cultivate a net work Six-Sigma individuals within and outside the company.
7. Eventually become part of the future Siloxane site Operational team to continue with on-going improvement projects or be responsible for some of the key operational activities defined by prior six-sigma projects.
Requirements:
1. Preferably a degree in some kind of discipline
2. Some knowledge of Six-Sigma
Black Belt certification within DCC or from another accredited organization will be an advantage but not a must
3. Good Planning and organizing skills
4. Good Interpersonal, Team building and Team leadership skills
5. Good assertiveness and a Can-do attitude
6. Able to think out-of-the-box and adapt to new environment
7. Able to follow a disciplined methodology
8. Fluent in English and preferably also some knowledge of Mandarin
10. Some experience in chemical plant operation will be a plus |
